About Benetti Yachts

Benetti’s history dates back to two historic Italian shipyards, the Fratelli Benetti shipyard which was founded in 1873 in Viareggio and the Fratelli Orlando shipyard founded in 1866 in Livorno, both located in Tuscany.

In 1979, with the launch of it’s 86 meter Nabila superyacht for Saudi businessman Adnan Khashoggi, Benetti earned a reputation as the yacht builder for the ultra-wealthy. The superyacht inspired the Queen song “Khashoggi’s Ship” and was used in the filming of Bond movie Never Say Never Again cementing its place in popular culture.

In 1985, Benetti was acquired by the Azimut group, and has continued to build upon the Benetti legacy. For those with the resources to build a superyacht, Benetti makes some of the best superyachts in the world.
