John Hodgson

Helping people is what motivates and inspires John Hodgson to work hard each day. His background is in mortgage banking. John spent 20 years in that field where he acquired an excellent set of business skills and economic expertise. To him, the job was never just about selling loans but instead, assisting people to get into their dream home and improve their financial position. Later, John became an elected official on Cape Cod, and strove to better the community by advocating for local citizens.

John’s life hasn’t been all work and no play though – he has owned boats! From runabout powerboats to a 45 ft sailboat. Later, he and his wife switched from “sail to steam” and moved to a Dereli Day Tripper. While many of the boats they have were only used locally, John and his wife cruised their sailboat from Cape Cod to Key West to Grenada over a five-year period. John calls it “a truly amazing, and at times, scary experience.”

Just like in John’s work and political career, yachting fuels his passion to dig in and find solutions. He appreciates sharing his love of being on the water with clients who also seek the same joy and adventure. John is fantastic at assisting clients with his wide vessel knowledge, personable approach, and sharp negotiation skills.
