Chris Gibson
Chris Gibson, a current resident on Hilton Head Island, is a boating and fishing enthusiast. Chris has been inspired by the saltwater life of the LowCountry of the Carolinas for the last 15 years. He obtained his Boat Captain License and enjoyed guiding others on boating and on/offshore fishing charters. The onshore bounties of Reds, Trout and Flounder, which are in abundance in this area, kept the anglers coming back.
Chris’s love of Boating and Fishing started long before his move to the saltwater region. He is a native of Eastern Tennessee and that is where his passion first fired, on the Lakes. From an early age, he was navigating the lakes, in and around Tennessee. Chris has always been drawn to the water and has spent his entire life living close by it.
Chris has always been eager to share the enjoyment of the water with others and has forged many friendships with those that share in his passion.
While living in Eastern Tennessee, Chris had the opportunity to climb aboard a V-tail Bonanza for a flight above his beloved water. Once hitting the sky, Chris knew he had found another activity that would be vying for his attention, Flying. Chris once again, positioned himself to be able to share his newfoundenthusiasm and excitement with others. He is currently anInstrument rated private pilot with a 1,000 hours of flight time.He recently earned his Tail Wheel Endorsement in a J3 Piper Cub. This has allowed “low and slow” flights, experiencing the low country inlets from a whole new perspective.
Whether it be by air or water, Chris has been able to travel to some remarkable locations to and experience nature at its finest.
Chris is extremely excited to be a part of JFA and is eager to share his enjoyment of the water with others. He would love to assist others in finding a watercraft of their dreams so they too can make memories that last a lifetime!
